Junior High Youth Group

Age:
All 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to attend!

Meetings:
Sundays from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Jr. High room (L-29) from September through May.

Description:
The Jr. High Youth Fellowship group meets on Sunday evenings (kicks off on Sunday, September 7th and goes through Sunday, May 19th, 2009) for a light dinner (in September and October we'll be having our "Great Fall 'Best Pizza' Challenge" - sampling and judging a different Macomb area pizza each week. Beginning in November, the lighht meals will be provided by Jr. High student parents), and an evening of fun and fellowship.

Activities may include fun events such as horseback riding, a fall hay ride, scavenger hunts; service projects such as making and delivering gifts for shut-ins and collecting and delivering items for holiday food baskets; community building events such as Spoon River District Jr. High retreats and summer camps, as well as overnight lock-ins and weekend retreats with our own youth group; and educational and faith development opportunities such as discussions on various faith issues, interfaith dialogue youth from other faith traditions, and exploration and discussion into various aspects of our own faith.
