More Information
Mount Evans
We worked 4.5 days. Friday afternoon we took off and drove up to Mount Evans. Mount Evans is 14, 265 (or maybe 12,264) feet high. It has the highest paved automobile road in all of North America, which goes to within 1/4 mile of the actual summit. We then climbed up to the summit - huffing and puffing in the thin air.
Boulder Flatirons
Following the trip up Mount Evans, we went to the Boulder Flatirons and Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. Some went hiking. Flatirons. Colorado Chautauqua. We had our Friday evening worship service at the Flagstaff overlook.
Columbine Memorial
The Columbine Memorial is "designed to be a place of peace, comfort and reflection remembering all those who were touched by the events of April 20, 1999 at Columbine High School, those who were injured and those whose lives were taken that day." The Columbine Memorial was dedicated and opened to the public on September 21, 2007.
