Camping Information

Wesley Church is part of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference (IGRC, for short) and the IGRC has lots of great camps for students grade 1 through high school and a family camp.

Church camp is a great way to get away from home, experience new things, and grow as a Christian.

East Bay Camp is near Bloomington-Normal, IL and Little Grassy Camp is in southern Illinois, not far from Carbondale, IL. Both camps are beautiful and have lakes.

Camp Scholarships

To encourage children and youth to attend church camps and Scout camps, Wesley church is providing scholarships, to help cover the cost of attending camp. There are three types of camp scholarships.

1. Wesley IGRC Camp Scholarship - This is for students who are active participants at Wesley Church and attending a IGRC (Illinois Great Rivers Conference camp). This is for one-third of the cost of the camp.  Apply online here for this scholarship.
2. Wesley Other Camp Scholarship - This is for students who are active participants at Wesley Church and attending a non-IGRC church camp (for example, Jensen Woods) or Scout camp. This is for $350. To apply, contact the church office.
3. Friend Camp Scholarship - This is for students who are not active participants at Wesley Church, but want to attend a camp with a student who is an active participants at Wesley Church. This scholarship is for half the cost of the camp, up to a maximum of of $250. (This scholarship is for both church camps and Scout camps.) To apply, contact the church office.
