Use of QR Codes for Sunday Worship Bulletins

This process is precipitated by the COVID-19 Crisis and the fact that we will not have a printed Sunday bulletin. All information for the worship service will be on the screens.  In addition, we will make the bulletin available electronically, for those who want it.

If you want your own bulletin, when you arrive at Wesley Church on Sunday morning, please look for the QR Code, scan it with your phone to gain access to the bulletin, with announcements.

What is a QR Code?

A QR Code (short for quick response code) is a black-and-white square graphic which can be read by a phone camera and which takes the phone directly to a document or webpage. In this way the Sunday bulletin can be viewed on the person's phone. Point your phone's camera at the example on the right. It should take you to an example bulletin.

How Does It Work?

• All the needed information for the worship service will be on the screens or announced from the pulpit.  For those that want a bulletin, we'll make it available, electronically, online.
• The Sunday bulletin, which we will post online, needs to be one, PDF file.
• The file should include the order(s) of worship and the announcements.
• The church secretary emails out the bulletin, as usual, near the end of the week.
• A member of the Communications Team will:
  • Put a PDF on the Wesley website.  We will have a page for worship bulletins, with the most recent at the top.
  • A QR Code will be generated which points to the page of worship bulletins.
  • The QR Code will be placed around the church, mainly at the entrances.
  • (The same QR Code will be used each week.)
